Hi, I’m Chris, and I built BorGuards because I wanted a solution I could trust to protect the boards I love. After one too many surf trips ended with cracked rails and crushed noses, I realized protecting boards during travel wasn’t just a hassle—it was a constant worry. Like everyone else, I have tried everything: cardboard, pool noodles, towels, bubble wrap, etc., realizing that none of them were adding enough protection, taking up more space, and adding additional weight to the board bag. What began as a personal idea has grown into a mission to help surfers everywhere travel with peace of mind. Because our surfboards aren’t just gear—they’re an investment and part of the adventure.
